Assembling Halloween Town
Now that you have finished the buildings and you have painted and completed the trees now it is time to display your hard work! This is probably the simplest part of the entire project!
Materials:
- masking tap
- fake Halloween spider web
The trickiest part is figuring out where you want to display your Halloween Town. You will also need to decide if what form of mounting you will use whether it is masking tap, push pins or some other form of mounting. I used masking tap. The Halloween Town has only been up for a couple of days so I can't say how long or well the masking tap works but I am going to say that it is working for now!
I picked the top of my bookcase in the living room to display my Halloween Town. I want to use some form of a self to give the appearance of a ground but you can always have it on a bare wall and even cut out a ground using construction paper! Once again get creative you can do it! Don't be afraid to try and change it! That is the great thing about crafts you can get creative and make it your own!
The steps are simple. Place two pieces of tap on the back of the buildings and trees one piece on the top and another piece on the bottom both pieces centered. Then simply place them on the wall in the order you would like to see them! I left the branches without tap and placed the top piece of tap for the trees where all the branches met. I would suggest doing this because you need something for the fake spider web to attach too. Simply place the buildings on the wall with the masking tap and smooth out. I used masking tap because it won't peel the paint! But push pins or other tap will work just fine.
Now that the Town is up on the wall simply take the fake spider web or cotton from cotton balls and pull apart and stretch thinly over the houses and trees. I used fake spider web that I got for a dollar at the dollar store but that was just me.
Last but not least, you can add some of the spider web on the top of the self...yes it kind of looks like snow but I like to think it is more like fog! But snow isn't necessarily wrong for this time of the year seeing that the Weather Channel has already reported snow in certain areas in the U.S. so you can just say its a North Town!
That is it! That simple! I hope that you enjoyed putting the buildings together and making the trees! I hope my directions were clear enough! Enjoy and Happy Halloween!
